Over a year and half on the PDM and approx 5000 miles, still working fine and no issues. Still it could go out tomorrow or last forever. Regardless, have enough confidence in it to go for a trip any time anywhere. If it fails, then will deal with it, if not good.

WIRE PLUS !

Factory EHC left me stranded :bang: so I (did it myself) went with the "WIRE PLUS" kit in 2010 and never looked back. If you run into any problems just reach out and ask. You will definitely get a quick, correct answer to any problems that you might run into. A bit pricey but it gave me my Dog back and 3500+ miles later, I never looked back with one single problem. :2thumbs:

Just my two cents and you get to keep all the BigDog factory controls.

Good luck and ride safe:up:

Well, I just had the 2nd wireplus power module failure on my k9 -- each time out of warranty.

Hey Kaptain -- waiting for another alternative!

I just had my control module go bad. Wireplus said I need a new one. Waiting to see if they will step up to the plate, provide some excellent customer service and replace it. I was stranded on the highway 100 miles from home in the middle of no where in Utah. No cell phone service. See what wp will do.

W+/PDM/Have a pro wire it?

Okay. What is the best route to take when your replacing the factory unit?
I know the PDM for my 2004 is $675.
W+ is cheaper but more laborious to install but you keep the blinker cancel and hazards.
I have no idea how much my local shop would charge to rewire the bike to rid it of the computer. Does anyone have a clue on that price?
The blinker cancel and hazards are no big deal to me. I just want it to start and run when I want to go for a ride. I know that no system is bullet proof. I just want SOME piece of mind.

I will add to the list, just had my switch module fail. Wire-Plus has not verified it yet but you can see that it got hot and discolored. If it has failed, it will be replaced under warranty. I will ship it to them tomorrow.
