It replaces the EHC on your bike. If you are having electrical problems and have checked all the normal problems (low-dead battery, loose wires corroded connections) and are still having problems, you may need to change out your EHC. if you do a search on here, you will find a ton of info on this topic.

Agrees . I rode mine until it , on a hot summers day about 60 miles from home quit running at 80 miles an hour. Trailered home, messed up a day. I also found out from personal experience the Ridgeback isn't easy to push down the side of the interstate, me pushing, my daughter at the controls driving it. :D.

A thought if your ech is doing ok now, try not to get it wet and whatever you do Don't even think of jumping it off, as this probably speeds up the frying of the insides of the ECH.

It's not a question of if you will need it but a question of when.
Buy one and put it on the shelf and at least you will be ready.
