Can anyone tell me what the wire plus mod costs, and the best place to find one? While I'm down to the frame for paint I think it's time to probably throw one on. Thanks.

Thanks for the link butcher. They are on back-order for a few days right now tho. Ya think anybody has them in stock, or is everyone doin' the shutdown scramble?
thing is, if you buy from Jake, you're not just buying the wire plus. you are helping a site sponsor stay in business, you are getting Jake's experience at installation, and on top of all else, you are getting his willingness to answer any and all questions about problems that may arise when you are doing your installation. i would say that no matter where else you may find a wire-plus, you will NOT get all that Jake can supply.

Contact Jake/BDMRidgeback and he'll get you a price. It's silly to ask us when Jake is the man to buy from. And to echo what others said, Jake IS the EXPERT when it comes to this mod. I can't tell you how many mechanics go to Jake with installation questions.
Hopefully Jake will jump in here.

I have a 2004 BD Chopper. It would run for a couple of minutes and stop. It will turn over fine but no spark at the plugs. I checked the voltage to the coil and it was 8 volts when the key was off and 1.7 volts with the key on. ????? I ran a jumper wire from the + side of the battery to the coil-12volts and the bike started right up ran until I shut it off. The next night would not start again. 12 volts to the coil but nothing at the plugs. The coild ohms checked out at 3.5. Any guesses, this has me stumped. Shop wants $1600 to replace ignition system.
