Wire Plus Module

Energy One
Has anybody received the new module yet? I ordered mine a month ago and was told 2 weeks. I called him after 2 weeks and he told me they would be shipping in a couple days but its been 2 more weeks. Not that I'm going any where with this cold but I was told I was one of the first ones to be able to get it.

I was told it was shipping two weeks ago last Thrusday. If anyone hears anything, post it here.

Did you see the wiring diagram for the 04chopper I posted? It will help once the module gets here.

Yeah I have a diagram. I even bought an new 04 harness on ebay for $25 just in case. This way I can pre make the connections off the bike.

I ordered my on October 31, and was told two weeks. I e-mailed them yesterday and the reply was "Carlos, Production is telling me the end of this week, the first of next week at the latest. Don"

So I guess tomorrow or next week.

I will be a dealer from Wire-Plus for the WP-374 Big Dog Module only. Don is supposed to be contacting me when they are within one week of shipping them and I have not been contacted yet.

I will also be posting the 2004 wiring diagram in my Wire-Plus how-to thread pretty soon as well.

I haven't called since then. I know the answer when I do call...."....shipping tomorrow."

I am in no hurry now. It is too cold to ride and there is snow on the ground. Heck, it would be pretty cold to even work in the garage.

Same here but I have a couple projects going on this winter and it just happens that I'm layed off now and have some time on my hands. I'll call tomorrow and see what the latest tale is.

Jake,

Sorry about the delay. I will be shipping the first of the production
modules tomorrow. Should go much faster from now on.
How many modules did you want?
Don

So I am not sure where we stand I hope to find out more this coming week.

Well they sure aren't being very professional about the whole deal. Called Don on Tues. and he said he would call me back with a firm delivery date, never called me back. I called him again today again and still no call back. Looks like they are now dodging there own lies. I fucking hate when people trip up in there own bullshit. I mean I'm not going anywhere in this weather but if it's going to be 2 months instead of 2 weeks then be honest and say so. If I don't have an answer or a product in my hands by the time my powder coating comes back I will buy a chopper harness from scooters performance and rewire the whole bike without any hand controls.

I hate to hear this. I just went through this with Arlen Ness. My bike has been in the shop for 1 month waiting for the Arlen Ness easy harness that was supposed to have been on back order. Arlen Ness is playing games also and isn't sure when it will be in. As of today I was going to order the lighting control module for my 03 Chop and they said it would ship in a couple of days. I hope this isn't the same as with Arlen Ness.

Hey did you ever think, maybe there are so many of us pissed off BD owners that want to rewire our dogs that they can't keep up with us, yea right, lol!!

Seems to be happening more and more lately. Frequent 3 car sites. It's pretty apparent that some businesses aren't making ends meet. Pay with a credit card and if they don't deliver you will need to dispute the charges. Hate to say it.

yes me but slightly differently. Jake used the BDM specific module but I didn't. I needed to change the switches for micro switches on the hand controls, which involved welding and drilling a new face onto the controls.

Has anyone else done this mod besides bdmridgeback???
T Mack,

Nobody else has done the BDM specific because I got the prototype unit and have been working with Wire-Plus on getting this rolling with instructions and such. BDM, as of Biketoberfest, didn't even have one of these modules in a bike yet, they were only testing the WP182 style module like Lee has installed.

They should have everything all ironed out and ready to start pumping these things out any day now. There has not been any problems with mine at all so no bugs to work out.

I think the instructions were slowing them down a bit here at production time, because I think that they were taking in consideration the 2004 bikes, but not sure. Like I said, I just got off the Phone with Don a few minutes ago and I'll be talking to him later with a exact release on these.

I'll keep you posted.

How will these effect the 03 and older. Is that some thing that they will be doing?
You don't really have to worry, you have an 03 which is the last year for HD control. You can rewire your bike many different ways and you have more options. You can even get an EHC from Thundrheart and it should plug right in. The only thing that you won't have with the new Thunderheart is the 3 flashes on the stop signal. The 04 and newer all had the new BD controls and that is what they are working on.

Don called me and verified shipment today. I think we are through the rough patch but I will report back as soon as I have it in my hands.
