Wire Plus Kit

Hi, does anyone have a wire plus kit sitting on their shelf that they would be willing to sell? I would really like to get a hold of one, my bike has been down since March due to faulty EHC, I would really like to start riding again before it gets really hot where I live. Please let me know, Thanks.

I'll take the 2nd Wire Plus Kit WP374 & WP148 Ignition Switch

Hi Serg and Friends,
I am looking for an alternative to Wire Plus. Not happy with their service and lack of communication!

Ordered the Kit: April, 5, 2012 (WP said 3 to 4 weeks)
After 4 weeks: May 1, 2012; WP emailed me, said another 4 more weeks...

No reason given, no phone calls returned, no messages taken; 3 week wait for response on Tech email and longer on Order email...

Not sure I want to wait for another email June 1, 2012.

UPDATE May 2, 2012
I just spoke with Wire Plus they are still processing/building orders from March/2012.

They have 3 techs (girls) building units now and think they can produce 10 to 20 per week. I was informed I am about 50 something on the list. They said that they would call me in 10 days to give me a better idea of the status. Also WP said they had an epoxy problem so that has delayed production in the last few weeks.

WP said they are only hiring seasonal help to build these things.
My guess is because they think the market is short lived; someone else will come up with a more economical and faster soultion... Then competition will force their price down to a more reasonable level and shorter lead times.

I hope Wire Plus can make it... see that there is a big market for these and there other products and not get a bad rep cause they cannot deliver on promises made or sacrifice quality.

Right now Wire Plus GOT ME BY THE BALLS!

UPDATE 7-5-2012
****EHC was in fact Bad****

Just got my Wire Plus Kit and Ignition Key Switch (after a Loooooooong Wait, 3 months!)

It has fixed all my problems per above, bike runs great now even seems slightly stronger at low rpm and idle --perhaps the failing EHC was not allowing strong voltages and current to other areas...

All in all I feel a strong Nuetral to the whole Wire Plus Solution. My 2004 Chopper had no PDM alternative product offering. Third choice was to rewire Harley style -- out of the question for me, too much money. Had no other reasonable choice; So for $500 and change I expected more from Wire Plus -- a "plug and go" solution.

Pro and Con:
Con:
Installation instructions are very poorly written and lack enough proper helpful photos.
(youtube video helped, showed me the wrong way to mount the modules backwards blocking view of LED's; and they probably thought they were showing you the right way, LOL) Many things omitted... -- and all wires and connectors should have come as more of a "plug and go" set up for the $500 plus... I felt they just built two modules and let you build the rest supplying a few pieces of wire and bunch of connectors. Very expensive and they took my money upfront, pretty much ignored my requests for updates and status and a 3 month wait for fabrication WTF!!!

Pro:
It worked.

Nuff said.

Well I can tell you this, I am in the same boat as you and what I have found out is, dealers that have a good rep. with BDM or Wire Plus will be shipped to before any one like you or me that just calls in out of the blue. So.... we will keep getting pushed back until they get to us. I was told the exact same thing as you 2 months ago. Good Luck!

Thats why I made a post asking if anyone had one on their shelf, I called in an order to wires plus at the end of March and was initially told 3 weeks. But once 5 weeks hit I called them and they told me they had delays due to faulty units and anticipated that mine would ship out on May 18. I can't believe my bike is down due to some electrical issue!!!

Hi 5-5,
Sent U a PM...

My situation is perhaps different...
I blow about $120 a week in gas going to/from work with my SUV Big Ass V-8, L-29 motor, aka Fat's Heavy Chevy. Instead, I was riding my Chopper back and forth for about $20 a week total in gas money.

So for every week I am down, I loose $100. Plus all the fun riding and "therapy" from cruisin' down the coast highway (PCH Laguna Beach area).

...Soon I will be so Fat I will need more than a WP and a V-8...

Pissed Off in OC!

I doubt that highly!!

Look at BDM...they couldn't even do it in the 8 years that they have tried!!!

Hey Serg, I have one with the 3 position ignition switch. It's been on my shelf for at least a year now, my original ehc is still going strong. If interested, I'll sell you the kit (WP 374) and ignition switch for $500 shipped.
