hi i just completed my install and have no power to anything -but when i jump power to the lights they come on ? no headlight i do have power at the key and at the 30amp fuse no lights come on on the new moduals im totaly lost and burnt out any help would be greatly appreciated thanks low man

I had the exact issues on my scooter too! I got a friend to check it out with fresh eyes before I hit ultimate frustration and started talking to it in the garage.

He found all my wiring was "Correct"! The issue was the in the pins and plugs were not really getting connected tight or possibly not at all inside the D plugs,( that stands for Deustch, not the D plugs most of those who read this might think I am calling it after hours of messing with it!). It is actually running again,, can we get a Hal - A - lay - Lou - Jah!

Will send pictures of the old Ech with a 40 cal. hole shoot through the center as soon I get a moment alone with the piece of crap that causes so much grief!

Make sure your pins are getting good connections inside those D - Plugs!

I rode today in a the toys for kids ride after getting mine back late yesterday afternoon. I took it out again after I got home, out through the country side alone. I feels good it is running again but it is kind of Spooky after getting stranded a long way from home. Everything is working like it should, the horn is not working, but I put about 120 miles on it today, with no trailer ride home. Thank God!

Double check all those pins are getting connected.

Check and make sure the pins are fully seated all the way in both connector housings.

yes thats what i did i didnt put the pinns in all the way ! redid all the pins pushed them all the way up till they clicked in place pluged in the harness and fired it right up it feels great being able to ride with not worring about being standed !!!

You guys are snapping in the orange and green retainer locks to lock in the pins... aren't you?


In all the installs I have done, and seen... and all the HD's and John Deeres that use Deutsche connectors... after snapping in ALL the pins and retainers, I have never seen a bad connection on Deutsche connectors.

They must not have been snapped in all the way from the start, the first time you plugged them in.

Agrees/ understands stranded with no scooter. ( Almost said it sucks! but refrained ) It will feel a little weird as you go out farther and farther away from home too. That bad experience feeling seems to be going away though!

I fully ressemble that remark, and it is Ok. For the record that is my first time messing with electrical wiring to that extent. I really took too much time trying to over think it, trying not to screw it up. In the end the wiring was correct, just not fully seated/clicked.

For all you folks thinking of changing the to the wire plus before you get stranded, you can do it too. Jakes instructions are very good. I did get the deutsche crimpers off of Ebay, they work great as well. Take you time and try your hardest not to over think this, it is not that hard to do. It does feel great to hear that scooter fire up again too!

had the wire plus upgrade on mune got it back 3 weeks ago had to take it back for blinker switch rode it 200 miles got on it after work this morning and nothing just a dim light where my speedo is (stranded again @ 5am) going to fix and cut my losses and sell her before i lose my freakin mind and savings
