Wire Plus 2001 Model

Has anyone tried the wire plus for the 2003 on an older model. The connections look exactly the same but wire plus says one has universal mate and lock connections and the other has commercial connectors. No idea what that means. I k ow they look the same.

Additionlly, wire plus is recommending using the WP181 flat side tank package for my 2001 model. I was wondering if anyone has done this and how complicated it might be. Thanks.
