Look around. I went to 7 different stores before I found a good set that I liked. Just like everything Dog related you have to b a bit picky. Solder is always a good fix too. Just my two cents.....

I don't know if this is the best but you can get a Deutsch Crimper at Batts Racing Deutsch Connector Tools

or

at the other end of the spectrum is good old Harbor Freight!
Thas some serious stuff!!! Cant go wrong with HF..

Try Atwood's, or Orscheln's. Ace Hardware may a have a decent set. I found mine at Southerlands lumber yard.

I got the Deutsch crimpers when I did the wire plus installation. Everything else got soddered at that time. The little time it takes to do it is better than being stranded on the side of the road on a hot day. Been there done that as well.

I originally did my WP with the yellow, blue and red crimps (all plugs were cut off by a "helpful" mechanic). I hate the way they look and no matter how careful I was I'd end up with a loose one. I've since switched to solder for non-disconnects and Deutsch plugs wherever possible. Solder has it's pro's and cons - articles on the web talk about it.

KLEIN all the way. I used to sell tools and their tools are top shelf. Don't even think about harbor freight. IDEAL used to make a nice stripper/crimper combo also.
