Just wondering what everyone does that has to store the BD for the winter?? Other then the typical battery tender and sta bil in the gas tank. Should the rear tire be off the ground? And tips would be appreciated. its getting too cold to ride for me.
Thanks

I'm in South Carolina and pretty much ride all year round. In the cold months (Dec to Feb) I just try to ride for about 30 minutes every couple of weeks. I figure that'll be all I need to do.

The big thing about winterization here in the north is a good cover. One that goes all the way to the floor. Possibly a camo cover. One that blends in with the rest of your garage. See, if you can see it every day as you walk by, it will drive you fuckin nuts. Oh, and it will make you want to move to Florida!!!

Have a Brother In Florida "real close to Jake" I don't think I could do the Bugs and HOT steamy weather in the summer ... Not to mention the dreaded Hurricanes !!!! I like blow jobs but please leave the dog alone ...I will do the easy Virginia winters ...I have rode on New Years Day ...Thanksgiving and just about any weekend not under 25-35 * as long as its not snowing or raining ..just pull on some warm riding gear and go for a hour or so , when you get back ..build a fire in the fireplace and sip a Irish Coffie ,pull your woman in real close ! It really don't get much better ..:2thumbs:

You got that right, summer aint our riding season that’s for sure. Un predictable daily thunderstorms, hurricanes and the freakin heat. If you’re not on the coast it really sucks. Okeechobee in July? Fuck that, no air moving just stagnant humidity!!!!:job:

just remember, if you use a cover make sure you put tarp on the floor under the bike because there will be condensation coming up through the concrete if it is not sealed.

and by the way, i always change out the anti-freeze at the beginning of winter, just to be on the safe side.:D :D

Just be sure to do a whole service on the bike, hook up a tender. Getting the tires off the cold concrete is just a side benifit.
