Maybe just remove the upper clamp on the down tube and pull the excess up in that area.
Or turn the clamps inwards.... I just had a look at mine... they also are on the right frame tube but facing towards the left side (not totally, just half way). it will lift it up a bit.

Kerry the clamps are just guides with this cable. Don't really hold the cable tight. Turning them might help with that to

Its funny you say this Franco, I was in the garage putting my front tire back on from changing the fork oil and while I was doing a little polishing afterward, I noticed my cable was also on the inside of the down tube and I thought Hmmmm. I come in the house and sit down, log on and here you have it.

Thanks Tommy and Tim. Good thing about southeastern N.C. Is I'll get a couple of nice days between now and spring to ride. Only issue so far is the hard clutch. Gonna try the ex pull from amp research. Anyone ever tried one of those?

You need to get down under there and clean those rails underneath. On another note, I saw this on one of your other pics also and I see it on one of these pics to, I can believe you haven't had the one and only part on your bike thats not polished or chromed, chromed. Do you know what part I'm talking about? I have it on my bike also and the first winter it was removed and chromed. Put your thinking cap on:confused:

Kerr the cable is aftermarket without a boot. Yes that is a cozie on the trees. Guy around here called Behind Bars Lifestyle Apparel sells them. They are like a slap bracelet. Always have one handy!
