Windshield

Has anyone had an experience with a windshield on a Mastiff. I have an 08 Mastiff and wondering if it is just some jewelry, or does it really help going 80 down the road. Also, has anyone every used any sort of throttle assist for long distance riding? Trying to get the Dog ready for some longer distance runs, Don't want her to get fat.

Fwiw, I got 2 windshields with the Chopper. Put one on and did an hr ride. Got to the destination and pulled it off. Seemed to create a weird turbulance right in my face. Lots of folks use the Cruise Mate.

One of the old ones.
Years ago I tried a windshield on my K9 and had the same experience H-man mentioned. A pretty noticeable buffeting right in front of my face. Bothersome in the long run. I think it did decrease the number of dead bugs on my face screen tho.
Cruise mate is the only way to go on those 500-600 mile days.

I actually like my windshield. I have never liked a windshield before, but tried this one when we went to Kansas. My doo-rag started to come off, so I grabbed it and stuck it in my pocket. Took me a half mile to realize I lost my sun glasses too, when I pull the rag off. Also a couple times, I didn't want to stop as it was getting dark, so I just slid my glasses up and looked under them. I will say that it does make my whiskers feel like their blowing upwards.

Am I the only person that actually does the speed limit (or less)? I'm no longer invited on rides because I won't blast down the road like everyone else. I understand, and that's . If I wanted to fly low I would have kept my Ninja.
I have always had issues with guys that lead from the front and not from the back. When the lead guy goes 0-60 in 5 seconds the guys in the back have to do 100 to catch up and if they have to stop quick bad things happen.

I am in an area that the majority of the highways are 70mph. Also the club I ride with rolls strong at 80, which most of the time will let us go just slightly quicker than traffic. Do you have to drill and tap the throttle housing for the Cruise mate, or does it thread right in at the base? Definitely going to order it.

I have a Cruise-Mate Motorcycle Throttle Cruise Assist Distributed by WWW.Iron braid.com. It's never been used. It fits Big Dog Motorcycles 2004 to present. It does require 21/64ths drill bit and 3/8-24 tap for installation. I will give it to you. 405-999-2489

I’ve had one of these on my Bigdog since 2004. Works fantastic and just a few $. 39E6CF38-1D5E-435B-B54F-FFDD32F31AAF.pngAB752C5E-71F1-4329-9902-454111246EDD.png

I wanted to see what they look like, first and figure if they will fit,? I got an 08...k9..., but I do a lot of riding, especially outta town , actually I have several bikes but it's the only big dog I have and just trying to figure, bc those bugs are horrendous at night...ima have to do a lil research and see if they will fit, and such..
