I have a winshield on my Harley, which keeps wind off my chest and sand/dirt off my face. I have looked at windshields for the Mastiff, but I just don't like the look. Guess I will continue with sandblasting my face, until it gets cold enough to start wearing a full face helmet (which is around freezing on the Big Dog)
Besides I need to remove the down tube stickers and reflectors and change the pipes before thinking about a windshield

i for one have no problem with anyone who runs a shield, because
during Love Bug season, Oh hell yea i have a windshield. those damn thing hurt and make a mess. little yellow shit marks all over your shirt and face. not pretty, taste bad. also again on our long runs, we just rode approximately 1500 miles in three days. believe me, there was several guys who then wished they had a windshield.
but then its also easy to remove, so in between times its stored in the garage.
