I don't personally own a 5, although I can work on it anytime I would like. 5's and 7's are very nice, but unless your in some sort of medical field nowadays, you're better off letting someone else pay the bills on one of them.

No one in this hobby or a car hobby really wants to pay for what it really costs to operate those machines to make a part in such low quantity, although there are times when you can find someone who will be willing to whore their 140 grand machine out for 100 bucks an hour.

I had this happen to my bike. I had a local machine shop make a new improved one up for me. It cost me 200.00 o have it made, but , he said now that he has it made up in his system he could make any other ones for 100.00. I could check with him if you are interested? I`m in South Jersey. Let me know. Mine was for my 2005 Big Dog Chopper , but , it looks the same as what you posted. Let me know
Thanks for the offer! I'll think about it once I get back from Europe, about 3 weeks time.

The design seems flawed. I can most likely make that design with a change to it on my cnc, and it will be fine. Welding it will just weaken it. Should be made out of 6061 and most likely it is made of cast aluminum now.
Go for the fence and make it outta 7075 and never worry about it:old2:

and about an inch thick:D. On another note I have been messing around with the one on my 07 and it looks like the ones for the Harley street glide might work with a little work. You can wrap those around and match the shape of the original big dog plexiglass ones.
?Harley SG ? The Tall Visors I assume not the short ones??

I would have thought they were much wider

Either. I have an 8 inch and a 12. They are wider. That's why I said with a little work. You can cut that stuff with a fine toothed scroll saw. Just tape both side and take it slow, then sand the edge to shape.
Okay cutting it makes sense you originally used the word "wrap" and I was wondering how the hell you were wrapping plexi around something. haha
