Windscreen base cracked

Have you ever seen this happening? I had a wind screen for longet travels, while removong it I notised the aluminium base is vracked on both sides! Something to give a look if you have one...

I had this happen to my bike. I had a local machine shop make a new improved one up for me. It cost me 200.00 o have it made, but , he said now that he has it made up in his system he could make any other ones for 100.00. I could check with him if you are interested? I`m in South Jersey. Let me know. Mine was for my 2005 Big Dog Chopper , but , it looks the same as what you posted. Let me know

Me thinks he's starting to be one of us " older folks"! Does time speed up as we get older, or do we just get slower? I've also noticed that gravity is getting stronger every time I try to get up!

I simply take my wind screen off when I go 120mph, that's all I'm saying

I had it happen to me also. Windvest now makes them for big dog that attaches to your handlebars

The design seems flawed. I can most likely make that design with a change to it on my cnc, and it will be fine. Welding it will just weaken it. Should be made out of 6061 and most likely it is made of cast aluminum now.
