wimmer spike filter

I saw a 2 month old wimmer spike that the chrome was peeling already. Have anybody that has a wimmer product experienced this? The other chrome parts on the bike looked ok.

Within two months, both the mounting plate and the ring on the Super Sucker that I had peeled. All of the accessories, head bolt covers, choke knob, etc have the same problem.

did they cover anything under warranty

Nope, something about 30 days. I've just ridden the hell out of it until I couldn't stand it anymore. Flying by, you couldn't tell anyway.

I will never buy anything from them again, and I'll tell others how I feel. I have to say, the chrome on the aluminum parts is excellent. It is the not aluminum parts that flakes off.

I just called and talked to ryan and they said all chrome has a 1 yr warranty! don't know if your is under a year

Well, I don't know if I spoke to Ryan or someone else, but that wasn't what they told me. At this point, it has been nearly three years. I don't use it anymore, as of last weekend. I'll probably send it out, have those parts re-chromed, and use it on a different project, someday.

I've had mine since October 08 and no peeling (yet).... Quick, someone knock on wood!!!

I've had mine on for over two years no pealing at all.Dual Runner with Super Suckers.

I have had several Wimmer products with no problems. Ryan is definitely the man to talk to. Would really surprise me if he doesnt take care of you.

Here are my dual runners from Lee Wimmer. I had them installed by Mr. Wimmer a year ago down Myrtlebeach. Had no problems of any kind.
