I am leaning towards the Wimmer Dual Runner intake? T.Byrds already given me some great feedback. Anyone else here running this intake? Do you have any feedback? I have the Mean Mother 2s and will upgrade my carb soon. I know a lot of you have the S&S Dual Runner with great results, but really like the looks and options on this Wimmer intake. I appreciate info you can give me.

The gentleman who did my monster build has a flow bench. He has flow tested every air cleaner that comes his way. I had already purchased the Whimmer Machine intake so I stuck with it due to the cost.... for now. He said that hands down the best flowing intake is by Roland Sands Design. The filter is different from others in the sense that the face of the filter closure is also filter surface area. The more filter surface area, the more air you can suck. I personally contacted the engineer who designed the filter at the factory and was astounded by the flow numbers. I cannot remember the exact specifics but it was 340cfm plus. You just cannot get that, even with the dual runners. Even with modifications and smoothing the lips on my intake I was only pushing 270cfm. Not selling anything, just saying... worth a look.

Thanks Jesse! That was another design I was thinking of but was leaning towards the dual runners. Seeing those numbers I may have to rethink that.

Ok so I checked out the Roland Sands Air cleaner, I personaly think the S&S dual runner looks better,

The Roland Sands style cleaner tends to look like a flower design on the side of the bike to me.

but I'm more about performance than looks, So being carefull not to pick a flowerery looking one. I would think that the Super Gas cleaners would offer the same air volume but they have a larger selection and a smaller price.

I was looking at the Rival contrast cut. but I do think this design would look better if they reversed the patern then it would look like a throwing star fixin to stick in something.
What do you think?

You read my mind Grimm. I was looking at these and they have a pattern that is a good match to my wheels called Hooligan. PM is owned by Roland Sands Dad. I think his name is Pete? I really won't come out any cheaper, but I would get a great match to the rims. And I agree with ya dual runners look bad ass. They work great and those are reasons they are so popular.
