I would stick with the Spectro, you can order it from DOC's, Barnes Performance or off of Amazon. If your in a hurry and can't wait 2-3 days for it because your going to ride, put the Red line in it and then change it out when the Spectro comes in. Or just wait to change it until you have the Spectro, that's what Andrew and DOC both suggest.

I run the Red Line. Trans Fluid with shockproof. A lot of guys do. I use the gear oil for the primary. I have the old style primary (LSD). Baker reccomended either the Spectro or the Redline. I like it because any leaks are color coded! Pink Puddle...trans, Green Puddle...primary, or Purple Puddle...Engine Oil (Royal Purple). Its like fluids for dummys!

Back when this site started Redline Heavy shockproof gear oil, all synthetic formula was what most were using and if I remember correctly Baker was recommending it. Kind of like S&S said to use Mobile one until another company made them a better offer. All about the $$$$

Hi! and please tell me-exactly-the full designation of this oil. And the red line has a lot of similar oils and I do not know what exactly is needed for the transmission

On the bikes that are 05 and newer it is recommended that you use Lucas 75w 90. The red line is not recommended for these transmissions because it is too thick and will not properly lube the inner bearings around the shafts.
Online Baker & Jim's transmissions 04 and older this does not seem to be a problem.

Then I will be very grateful to you - if you tell me what to pour into my transmission and primari... I'm already completely confused. I was advised to pour GL-5 ( hypoid) into the transmission, and dextron 2 - in the primer..... It is very difficult for me to read the entire forum through an online translator, please understand .Because I have to ask stupid questions, which are probably 100 times already discussed here (((So far, I realized that: in the engine red line 20w50 ( although advised and 20w60...) But I decided that 20w60 will be hard for the Dog))) In primaries, I'm still leaning towards dextron ( but which one??? 2 or 3???) In the baker gearbox, I wanted a red line... Please tell me !!! I will be very grateful!

That bike is a regular rainbow warrior, eh? Haha
I am another who uses Shockproof Red Line in my K9 transmission—no issues so far.

I would not use Redline "Heavy" shockproof . I think it's good for gears but when I worked at a shop we saw more than a few trannys with bearing failures that were running the pepto bismol colored fluid. I believe it's to thick and slow to lube the bearings. Take my opinion for what it's worth, I'm no engineer or expert. I like Brad Penn 80/90 GL4 in trannys.

All my shop used is Lucas 70w90 in the trans. It will take20 oz. Your primary will take 18 oz if you just drain and fill it or 20 oz, if you pull the primary cover off and clean it. On all the primaries I use this.
