WIll RSD exhaust fit on LSD Dog?

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience if V&H exhaust off of a RSD K-9 with a 300mm rear will fit a LSD Pitt with 250mm rear? I found a set of V&H Big Radius used for a good price & I WANT THEM TO FIT!

I called Vance & Hines & they said nothing they have will fit the 2003 & older Big Dogs. They said putting this exhaust on a LSD bike will leave a gap, but they didn't say how wide. Does anyone know how wide of a gap?? If the gap isn't too noticable, I'm good. I just don't want a 3" or more gap in between my frame & the pipes. I know there's only 1.97" width difference between a 250 & 300 tire, just not sure of the clearance needed for the RSD.


V&H offers a soft tail exhaust kit that will fit up to a 200mm rear tire they said alot of 2000-03 Dog owners use, but it's too narrow, as I have the 250mm. :bang:

I have them on my 03 pit and they fit great. They are softail pipes. I can't remember what I had to do with the bracket but I'm sure its modified. They are sure to stick out , how far I don't know. P.M. doug g he has a 07 k9 with the BR and my bike is setting right next to his with the BR. Ask what the 2 pipes look like. I bet they got a little differant bend at the heads.

THER IS A BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LSD AND RSD. YOU WILL HAVE A HUGE GAP BETWEEN THE PIPES AND THE BIKE, AND IT WILL PROBABLY LOOK LIKE SHIT. WHICH PIPES WERE YOU LOOKING AT? I MEAN IF YOU FIGURE THE SPACE DIFFERENCE FRON A 250 TO 300 TIRE AND THEN ADD THE DIFFERENVE FROM LSD TO RSD YOU'RE PROBABLY WELL BEYOND THE 3" MARK THAT YOU MENTIONED.

I have a 2005 RSD 250 rear chopper I'm working on right now that has a V&H Big Radius on there. I don't see why it wouldn't fit a LSD bike, but you will have to make a different bracket to bring it in closer to the frame, and it may drag in right turns if you lean over too far.
