will a 2up seat off a 2003 dt chopper fit a 2004 RT frame?

coach would be nice enough to sell me his 2up seat off of his 2003 chopper DT. Problem is I have a 2004 chopper rolling thunder frame. More I look the more I am thinking it may not fit, but man I am hoping it will. Any help would be nice. Called my local Big Dog shop in Wichita, pretty sure they are closing down before long. Never more than 2 people working there. Call you can only talk to a voicemail and they will not return phone calls. Figured you guys could help me more. Thanks in advance

The DT is a different part number than the one for your frame.

As far as I know The seats are the same except for the front mount.
I've had a DT seat on my RT frame the seat fit on there perfect except for the front mount .
The RT seat has a tang that slides under the tab on the frame . The DT seat slides into a slot in the frame. The mounts are held on by two bolts in the same location.

Hey Tim...Thanks. This is the best data we got. Jim was unsuccessful finding anyone at the factory with answers. I PMed Jim. May actually be pretty easy to adapt this seat. So.....just change out the front mtg tab....correct?
