I also know both these Men and everything they do is meticulous and detail oriented. First Class all the way!

One of my first rides with Raywood resulted in severe Starter breakage.
http://www.bigdogbiker.com/forums/technical/125-broke-hard-starter.html
Could have been one of the worst maintained roads in WA that contributed to this failure.
This starter was covered by BDM's world class customer service.

Since then Ray has gone to great lengths to diagnose our starters and identify exactly what the issues are and how to rebuild it so it will last and not have the famed leakage. Both Curtis & Ray take their work seriously and are spending many hundreds of hours to make sure when they do something it is done right and will last.
Rebuilding your Starters with the highest quality parts and the labor it takes to take apart, clean, modify, and rebuild at this price is simply an awesome value.

I know of some of the products these Bikers are making and the trials and tribulations they are going thru to make a quality product. Some of these items are long overdue in the market place and until they can get the quality they are looking for, the item will not be released.

This Starter rebuild is a great first step

Also want to add a Thank You for stepping up and filling a much needed niche for our Big Dogs,

DB, you are the guy that might know this answer off the top of your head. I was looking at the Controls why would you not be able to use a left side control PCB on the right side? If you flip it? Buttons all line up :loony:

All the connections are negative ground, correct? Why would it matter it then?

We have a hydraulic clutch in the works but not going to mess with the cable!!!! And we would need you out here to do those PCB units :D

Eric, the right side board has the front brake switch wired into it. Would be hard to alter the left board for this since its encased in it.

Left side

Right side. See the black brake sensor wire hanging off it?

I am hoping for some single led, or something similar, to replace turn signs/brake light bullets... Hmmm, maybe a bullet casing as a turn signal/brake would be realizable...

Ahh...I knew there was a reason why nobody thought of it yet.

I forgot about that extra shit needed for the brake light

As Ray mentioned there's the reed switch for the brake lights on the right PCB. The other potential issue with a side to side switch is the connector being flipped top to bottom, I don't know if there's room for that. Although, assuming there is room for the connector, modifying a left side PCB would sure be a shit load cheaper than the ridiculous prices they're getting for right side boards!!!

And now back to the original thread...

Alright here goes my 2 cents. Looking at front ends always loved the spike forks. Unfortunately I have the 04's that come with the flat fork end. Wish they made a spiked fork bottom end cap.

Are you still offering the rebuild starter service? I didn't see it on your website. I have one that needs done! Where do I ship? $125 bucks?
Thanks!

Gotta say A+ service from Ray on my starter. He called me before tearing into it to get a history. Once he opened it up, emailed me several pictures showing water damage, etc...basically a worn out starter A bit later he sent me another pic showing it all cleaned up! He explained the several issues it had, bearings, seals, and what not, and said he could fix it all up nice.
I have no doubt once I get it back, it'll be BETTER than new!

Thanks Bro. I would have it back to you yesterday but our supplier sent us blue boots and red caps for the armature cable so had to send them back after a nice phone call from us about colors!!!!
