Why not leak?

Ok ... I've been trying to replace my rocker box gasket with no luck ... can't get the left rear bolt out because of the frame being in the way .... 05 Ridgeback. It doesn't leak until the bike sits over night after a ride ... not during a ride ... but last night after a 50 mile ride I decided to just put the jack under the bike to level it out and put a paper towel where it usually leaks. Well in the morning ... no leak ???? what the heck? Now I'm really cornfused .... :confused: I don't think it's worth pulling the engine at this point to replace the gasket. What do you guys/gals think is going on ... :D

Surf, is your leak from the top cover or the base plate? If it's from the base plate can you rotate the top cover off to expose the bolts that tighten up the base plate?
Here is a picture of what the base unit has for bolts. You can see the four larger bolts that hold the rockers. But the base unit is bolted on with a bunch of the little black allen bolts as seen in this picture.

It looks like it's leaking from the bottom of the rocker box ... we did tighten the big bolts but that didn't stop the leak ... we didn't try to tighten the allen bolts ... and that I bet is what holds the rocker box to the cylinder right? :confused: :D Do you think if I tighten the allen bolts that it might solve my leak? :D But then why no leak when I stand the bike up right? :confused:

Oil pools in the sides of the heads and rockers when it's leaned over like in this picture. I would tighten the allens and see if that helps.

all those bolts have TQ specs and some have locktite. should pull em and clean em.
