Tyler, glad you got the problem resolved. There are so many possibilities when it comes to the bike shutting off at will, but 9 out of 10 times it isNOT the EHC.A lot of guys blame the EHC,but it usually isn't! I had the same problem and did most everythng everyone on hear told me to do,and it ended up being that recall resistor wire that RELIC mentioned.I simply disconnected it and problem solved...no cost to me at all! With a BDM,you never know...f'n great bikes though!

Thanks guys! I'm so glad I have the resources here that I do. Does anybody by chance have a service manual they'd like to sell? I almost got one off ebay, but I'm in the NICU with my (first) little boy tonight, and lost an ebay auction for one at 100 dollars by 30 cents. Idiot.

Or you can ask me for a PDF copy? :D

Then you print it, put it nicely in a folder and... voila! there is your own hard copy of the Service Manual!

I didn't read all these responses but I would certainly change the ignition switch especially if it is the same one the older scooters came with in 04. I chaged mine out back in the day when I bought it cause the key got misplaced,,, ah but we had a key that worked great in the new switch and the old one too. We used the key that goes in my Exmark lawnmower until I could replace the old switch. Then just out of curiousity I tryed the lawnmower key in the new switch and it worked the same as the old switch. I changed all the crap out when I went to wire plus. Now at least I am not concerned with the lawn service people taking the scooter for a spin.
