I will typically put my windshield on when travelling cross country. At highway speeds I have had rocks, pieces of tires and other debris strike the windshield and not me. Plus, when it's raining it helps immensely, making for a much safer ride, continuous ride. When I get to my destination, I will take it off and it stores in my T-bag nicely.

Do not care for them on any bike. If I was bothered by the wind in the face and on the chest, would get me a bagger. Too each their own, but not for me. I will say though that the BDM one that are small do not look bad at all on the BD, all thing considered.

I normally dont ride with one on my mastiff, but this past year i took a 4200 mile trip and it really helped, I was able to do 90+ mph, with my cruise mate on, and with one hand , with no problems! It reduced the wind somewhat, not totally but it did help alot. I will only use it again when I take a long trip but otherwise its no windshield for me. It comes down to personal choice if you ride with one on or not, just like any accessory u add on your chopper, its your chopper , you do what u want. Just my two cents.

I have one on my k9 and use it for long trips. Can't speak for others but mine makes a big difference on long trips, especially at interstate speeds. Shorter trips and around town I don't use it. Easy on and off....only takes a few minutes to remove. As far as the looks, I don't worry about how it looks. Its your bike do what you want and don't worry about others. And if I had a Doberman and wanted to put a pink sweater on it....I would :D

I have a smaller detachable windshield from Memphis Shades. It makes a difference on the highway, especially on a cold day. I live in Seattle and don't have the luxury of only riding on nice days. But it's great to be able to pop it off in a half second when the weather is nice or I'm just puttin around.
I didn't realize memphis shades made one that fit k9's. What model do you have?
Not that I will buy one as I like the wind on my face!

i dont have one, but IM not against putting one on for long trips. If you get the function part of windshield fittment right then they make a huge difference. Dont care for the looks however.

K9 - - - Windshield?

:flag: I`m in agreement with sport, Trainguy, and 8ball; " If it doesn`t fit into your pockets, take the cage! ". In my view their sentiment says it all, Choppers!!! :flag: :choppersmiley: Tom Chop---Chopper? hmmm, maybee a new handle?

I bought my dog with one on it. Eventually I took it off. Half because it looks better without half because I took a beatin when I posted I had one on!

I have one on the Harely but usually take it off in the summer. The Bull Dog looks perfect without it and I would hate to ruin the lines.
To each there own; the pictures this thread dont look too bad.

Never did believe in them 'till I lost a tooth from a rock coming over the handlebars on the highway before I could pass a construction truck.

I modified a Harley softail quick release windshield to make it work on my 2000 Vintage Sport.

Put it on, take it off, no tools and less than 2 minutes. Just sayin'.
Peace, Respect,
