Who Rides their big dog with a windshield? I am thinking of getting one for my K9 for the colder days here in Utah. I am wondering if you ride with one and does it make a big difference.

I have a dent on my forehead from a small rock that almost took my eye out, that made a believer out of me. I don't care for the looks :bang:, but I love myself :D and two eyes can see better than one :2thumbs::

Another oil thread ohh wait it's a windshield thread sorry...:whoop:

Don't have one however it has been on my mind about picking one up for long trips. I think it would help with fatigue and I can keep up with Mad Dog without getting blown all over the place. Yet most would say NFW on a chopper...:argue:

here ya go a link to a thread referencing more threads.....:2thumbs::cheers:

nfw on a chopper, you know how some times they say if an artist put one more brush stroke on a painting it would ruin it!

I had a windshield on my Wolf. It actually didn't look too bad on that style of bike and helped a lot with the wind pressure. I don't mind the wind in my face, but the wind in the chest, on long rides, did get to me especially in the position I was seated in on the Wolf. I do not need one, or would want one, on the Chopper. The way the bike sits with the tank and bars up high, I do not get the pressure from the wind. I've ridden it 8-9 hours at a shot with no wind fatigue.

I have a tinted one I would sell ya if you decide to go that way. I think they look pretty good, I just don't like windshields on bikes. Pm me if you are interested.

I wouldn't mind one for longer rides if they detached quickly. I don't know exactly how they mount and how quickly they come off. Is it under the handlebars, or just clamp to the handlebars?

I have the small one on my Wolf. It keeps the wind pressure off of my chest so I am not as fatigued. Also keeps some wind off of the face. Doesn't look to bad as can see. I do not have one on the K-9 as the wind pressure is not on the chest.

I have a smaller detachable windshield from Memphis Shades. It makes a difference on the highway, especially on a cold day. I live in Seattle and don't have the luxury of only riding on nice days. But it's great to be able to pop it off in a half second when the weather is nice or I'm just puttin around.
