Who has an answer?

This is a pic of a buddies bike. 03 Chopper. I havent seen this before. Is it a transmission breather? Or an oil breather? Oil spot is a different issue.

I'd say oil breather but trace the line.

That's the oil breather, the line is in the back and runs back around to crankcase. I have one on my 04 chopper.

If pucking oil a lot, you can check the check valve.

Show were the steel line ends on the other side, meaning it hooks to the highest point on the engine oil pump assembly. For sure, the steel line is the oil feed to the oil pump looks like.

Interesting.. better then what I have .. my 03 vent breather is mounted to the seat post. If it sumps pukes oil on everything.

You can put a filter on it. My ‘04 has this setup too.

Maybe…. I don’t know about that exactly. I just thought it cleaned up where the crankcase breather line terminated by the transmission. Certainly can’t hurt right…
