Who has a 1999 Pitbull?

If anyone has a 1999 Pit bull that is fairly close to stock, I'd love to chat and see close up pictures. My 1999 Pitbull has been modified beyond recognition and would love to put her straight.

I've looked at all the Google Images I could find. But, there are things I need to know that most photos don't show. For example: someone put a raked tree on an already raked frame. The total rake looks to be +45°. The bottom rails are no longer level with the ground. The front of the frame rails are 1" lower than the back. With some good pics, of the original set up, I may be able to work out (on paper) what needs to be done...

I just tried Google myself and you're right, hard to tell from the pictures and can't find a spec sheet. Maybe someone with an older pitbull will chime in and get you going.

whether it works for the 1999 pitbull, don't know, but it seems like a common setup for a lot of the bikes is a 39* rake with 3* in the trees bring it to 42*. the forks you have in conjunction with the 3* trees may bring it back to level. just thinkin'

Its hard to tell by just eye balling it, but it looks like (factoring in the length of my forks) that a triple tree with zero rake might do the trick... but at $400, I don't want to guess. By the way, does anyone know where I can get used parts for a 99 Pit?

99 pit bull

I have a 99 pit bull that I can send you pics of if you don't have any yet. Just let me know what you need pics of and where to send them to. Hopefully they will be helpful.

is it the bike in your avatar? You sure someone changed the tree's and forks? Might just be a larger front tire than stock. Not sure if its the picture but it looks larger than stock. Is it a 21?

One thing BDM didn't do was change geometry of their models often. I can tell you the 04 Pit had 36 rake in the frame and a 4 degree rake on the tree. I would expect similiar on the 99

Wheel base 73" Total Length 98" - That should help as well

I have a set of triple trees off of a 2000 Bulldog that are a 0*. I think they are chrome and has Big Dog embossed on them. The customer wanted raked trees. The rake and trail went to shit. But hey, It looked good.
