White particles in gas tank

WTF 02 PitBull
Been having issues with carb since owning the bike for 3 years. Installed pingel filter last summer. Put bike in shop last week for carb tear down along with re-jetting. This was in filter along with some in carb.
The mechanic said it was clear coat that got sprayed into tank during that process of painting and is breaking down. He said tank liner was ok. He also told me the problem will continue but should get less over time

Any of you lady's or guys seen or heard of this before. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen sandblast media get in a tank when repainting it. Try putting some MEK or other auto paint thinner and see if it melts it down. That would probibly tell you if it were paint residue .

No don't put mek in tank put the stuff you photoed and see if it melts. That will give you an idea what it is.

Good idea.. If I understand what my mechanic was saying, it looks the way it does in the photo after it dries out.
