White faced speedo, should I keep it?

I have a white faced speedo, and I'm going to have to do a little custom work to get it to fit my new bars. I thought I read somewhere that these were defective? I've had no trouble with mine. Should I keep it, or just change it out while I've got everything all apart? Budget is tight so I'm trying not to go nuts here...

My white face one is still working just fine. Had one go bad on the Chopper DT. Was only a solder joint. took apart and repaired for a spare. Replaced it with a new one. The white face are no longer availible from BDM. If you need a replacement, you can only get the black face one from them now.

I thought we weren't going to get into anymore of these discussions...

Whites are working, then they aren't, replaced by blacks , now the whites aren't reliable...?

No wonder I can't find a job!!!!!!

my white one was replaced but also had a few black ones fail too. Got my 3rd black speedometer and it works correctly. If you got a white one and it works I would use it and save some $$$.
