Where to find touch up paint

I am having a problem finding paint for my bike. The local paint shop wants close to 300.00 for a quart of paint because "house of colors" do not sell a pint. I only need to touch up a couple of small chips. I called the local Big Dog shop here in Connecticut and they didnt return my calls. Does anyone suggest any other way. The other solution is for a local shop make the paint for me. I am not too sure about....

I have the yellow dog in the pic.

Your dealer should be able to get you a touch up kit. Not sure why they wouldn't return your call - pretty sad. Might need to find another dealer or check with Nelson on here.

I got some from Nelson [wicked basterd cycles] a couple months ago I still have some left but mine is chrome yellow I think you have bright yellow

I have done enough paint with HOK products to realize that unless it is a specialty (Kameleon) paint, then a quote of 300 dollars is completely out of line.

True, HOK sells quarts as it's smallest amount, however, you can go to almost any auto paint supply shop (I use carquest and another auto parts store) and purchase quarts of HOK products for around 50 - 60 dollars a quart. Some is a little more expensive, some is a little cheaper.

Also, don't rule out another paint manufacturers (such as dupont, ppg, nason, etc.) Most paints can be matched and other companies sell in small quantities like pints and half pints.

I ordered a touch up kit from my local dealer last year before I left for the south for the winter. When I arrived back after spring and went to use the paint it had all dried up.
LOL!!! besides, it came with 3 bottles one black and 2 clear and I never did figure out which to use in what order...LOL!!!

Actually it was 1 paint, 1 clear and 1 clear hardener.

Gas, that still doesn't tell me the order to apply...or if I should mix the black with the hardener....oh well maybe next time I order...LOL!

Low Down Chop Shop
I just ordered mine from my local dealer. Agent Orange comes with 4 bottles and is $30. It is House Of Kolor paint.

Base color, orange pearl, clear, & hardener. My friend owns a paint shop and sprays HOK paints from time to time. He told me to mix hardener with all three. Mix the base, 3 parts color and 1 part hardener. Mix the hardener also with the pearl, and then the clear as well.

The one spot on my fender, I built the clear up with about 3 coats, and the next day wet sanded with 2000 grit and polished it. Most people would not be able to find it if you ponted it out. Blended very well!!!!
