Hey does anyone have some suggestions on where to buy tools to change out motorcycle tires? I have to change my tires out on my R1 soon but really will mainly be using the tools to change tires on my 08 big dog k-9. Thought you guys might have some good suggestions also on a brand or best type to get. I can't believe if you take the rims off the bike and just bring them tires and rims they are wanting $40.00 each. I remember when I used to pay $15-17.

Some one posted a link to a tire changer call "No Mar Tire Changer", here is a link a found.

No-Mar video: A scratch proof tire change on a K12-S Sportbike

Kinda steep in price, but if you have buddies who ride, it would pay for itself in no time. Just charge them that $15-17 bucks.

They have a video of the guy changing a 250, but I couldnt find it.

You can look in pretty much any Motorcycle catalog and find tire changing kits. You are going to need a bead breaker, and the tire irons ( lever bars ) To save some money you can have a local car shop break the beads. Might only cost a few bucks and its alot easier. Also I do recommend the plastic rim protecters. They are 8inch long pieces of thick plastic you slip onto the edge of the rim so you don't chip or break your chrome or paint. Anymore questions just shoot me a PM.... good luck

Go down to your local dirt bike/atv store. They will have all that stuff.

I just ordered a new rear tire, Dyna Bead kit, Tire irons and rim savers from this place. Discount Motorcycle Tires, Motorcycle Gear, & Motorcycle Accessories | Jake Wilson

The price on the Dunlop D402 tire was the best I have seen :2thumbs:
Plus orders over $99.00 are free shipping.
