Check the dates of manufacture on the tires to make sure your not buying a tire that's been on the shelf for years.

The bad thing about buying online is the date code problem what they tell you and what you get may not be the same. If you can buy local it's your best bet.

American Moto Tire has the Avon Cobra Chrome in 300/35r18 for $293. Seemed to be the best price I could find on them. $238 for the 250/40r18.

I got tired of getting only 4-5K on the Venom and Metzeler tires with the K-9 300 rear tire.
I switched to Shinko at about $235 delivered.
just returned from an 8 day trip doing 2,500 miles on some rough roads where I used to get the rear tire pretty shred up.
So far have now about 3,100 miles on the Shinko and the tire looks still great. I expect to get about 10K out of this one.......
