Where did the spark go.

I had my ehc go out on me in Sturgis last year. Just purchased the rip kit installed it. And now I have no spark. I did notice on the ignition module (thunder heart) that the light has been on even if the key was shut off. But it does flash when I turn the bike over.

The light should not be on when the key is off, start looking for a short by unplugging connectors 1 at a time. Get the wiring schematic and start with the connectors to the ignition module

Sorry guys I spoke with a big dog dealer in mn. And he said he gets like four guys a week calling in with issues installing the rip kit. I guess they get 500 to install the kit. He says if I call big dog in Kansas they got a whole troubleshooting list to narrow things down. Sounds like it could be a wrong ignition harness or something. I'll let you know when I get in contact with them.

So I think I narrowed it down to the ignition module has taken a cran on it. Big dog recommends using the S&S HI-4N anybody run this have any thoughts on this. Btw my bike is an 04 Boxer. 107

Don't think there is anything wrong with the HI-4N from S&S.

I actually think the HI-4N is made by Crane they used to carry a model called HI-4

I got my RIP Kit GEN 2 from Curtis over a year ago and not one problem. It was pretty much plug and play. I'd think to check what the other poster said and check all the little connectors. Or you just happen to get a defective RIP Kit.
