Need to know where to get a primary cover gasket set for a 05 ridgeback.
And will any other makes/ brands fit our bikes?
Thanks for any help:flag:

On the 05 and later its a o-ring style gasket. BDM specific. You might call some of the sponsers on this site or another BDM dealer.

I intend to change some gaskets / o-rings on the primary (or around it):
- outer primary cover gasket
- inner primary cover to engine o-ring
- starter to inner primary cover o-ring
- transmission to inner primary o-ring (not sure if o-ring)

Can anyone tell me if these are BDM specific?
I mean the starter is a harley denso, the primary looks like the ones used on evo softails.. I am hoping I could ask for for a primary gasket kit at a Harley dealer since I have no dealer for BDM.

Any idea what I should be asking a Harley dealer for, so it could fit my '03 Chopper?
Thanks!

Bikers Dream of Atlanta, as well as Baker Draive Trains, carry all the o rings, seals and gaskets you need for your primary (inner and outer)including the long one for the outer cover. I purchased from both within the last couple months.

Well I'm on the wrong continent, but thanks, it's good to know.
I was wondering if Harley dealers could sort me out since it's the only thing I have access to here.
Otherwise it's only online orders for me.

They should be able to since an 03 is left side drive. I believe it's almost all harley compatible parts.

I went to my local harley dealer and picked up both the inner primary o-ring and cover gasket. It looked looked stock evo stuff, turned out I was right.

Also the starter is a denso unit. My local alternator/starter repair facility was able to rebuild mine for me. They carried the parts to do this. Its also the same starter used for Toyota applications.

Thanks for confirming this Rick!
Just yesterday I ordered a primary gasket kit from our local Harley dealer, because as you said, it looked like evo stuff.

It will take some time until I can confirm if this kit fits my '03, because I'm currently repainting the entire bike, including the frame. But I'll let you all know when I'm finished.

Thanks again everyone.
