Where are you guys putting your inline fuel filters?

Also what is the i.d. of the fuel lines? I may pick up a cheap one at Auto Zone or something to hold me over until I can order one of those fancy ones Dave mentioned. I haven't looked real close yet but I don't appear to have a lot of length of available hose to splice into but if I need to put on a longer hose to facilitate an inline filter then I will.

I don't use an inline fuel filter. The screen in the peacock is usually good enough to take care of filtering the fuel. Cutting the fuel line to install a fuel filter adds 2 more places for possible leaks.

All I know is my carb still got crud in it and I had to take it apart and clean it out and rebuild it. Redundancy is fine with me on filtration.

Whatever filter you end up with, make sure it is really high flow. Restrict the flow too much n u will have other problems. Drain the tank n clean the petcock filter. Start clean n go from there. Jm :2cents:
