Where and which 40 amp in-line to buy

I started hooking up some of my wiring tonight and the threads on the circuit breakers broke free and started to spin. I know a number of people changed out to in line fuses. What brand and where to get them is what I need to know...How many do you need to install? 2?
Thanks,
Neil

I would guess one, I've put the auto reset style in auto on elect bracks for trailer towing, will reset automaticallily when curcit in not over loaded, I get them @ trailer sales centers, wont have to worry with fuses, just my thought

Breakers do not react fast enough for sensitive electronics. They work great for trailers, fog lights, and other accessories, but computer equipment I'd say they are a No-No.

Do yourself a favor and go to Advance Auto Parts Storeand get a Mini ATM fuse holder, it has 12 gauge leads as well and doesn't take a lot of space.

why does bdm put a breaker in there then? not saying that eather is right or wrong but why would mfg install a breaker, the breaker only controls the charging system dosen't it? comes from vr to supply batt.

Neil I put 3 on my bike when I switched over to the wire plus deal and was able to find them at radio shack as well. But the biggest I have seen was only 30 amp. which is all I needed for my application.
