No i didn't ....just finding out about the basket issue. I'll check it out this weekend. Clutch works fine when riding just the creeping and neutral issue right now.
Thanks for the reply

For your original question / statement, from neutral in to first, my Baker makes a heavy "clunk" sound. Think it is a Baker thing. BTW...I love it, it feels rock solid!!!

Gdog, next time you drain the primary fluid, drain it on the sidestand and see if you get more than a quart. I know mine doesn't drain completely when upright in a lift...

Where did you put the quart of oil...in the inner primary or the transmission?
How much did you put in the tranny? My tranny really likes heavy duty shockproof.

I took two cups of oil out of the Priamry this weekend and it solved the "walking" issues and the lurching! The 48oz the owners manual printed is incorrect. Glad this site is here! Thanks everyone. Once my primary fluid gets here this week I'll drain the entire primary and just use a quart.

put (1) qt. in the primary through the inspection plate and put 20-23 oz. shock proof in the tranny.

(sorry - I'm a little late in responding to first post)
On my '05 Chopper, with my initial start up and shift into first gear after sitting idle a few days the bike would clunk into 1st and "lurch forward". After riding awhile, this went away and was not an issue...until next start from sitting idle a couple days.

Don't know what BDM changed over 4 model years, but this has never happened so far with my '09 K9...:)

Adjust your idle to 900-1k... too high or too low and it clunks. Get it right and it will slide in without the clunk or at least less clunk.
