I had my rims chromed by a company in Texas last year and the chromin cost alone without shipping was 1400 bucks. That included the pulley and the rotors. They used a 6 step process and i am very impressed with them. They have no yellow or gold looking reflection to them. I actually have them for sale because i put a different set on the bike because it took them 10 weeks to get them back to me. But to answer your question it sems like a fair price to me.

I have a member coming over Sunday to look at my rims i have for sale. And is he decides he wants them i can tell you he is getting a steal at 1200 bucks for the chrome rims.

Where in Texas is this chroming Place. I know of one in Corpus Christi, TX, but I heard they don't do wheels. I sent my stuff to Brown's Plating Service in Paducah KY, (expensive but good shit). I would like to have my stock wheels done in chrome, and Brown's don't do wheels either. Can you post an address or shoot me a PM with an address

Thank.

Carlos,
The place is called Chrome Pros Plating. I had a local bike shop here take them off and send them to the chromer. Here is the info.
They also have a website Chrome Motorcycle Wheel Plating, Sportbike Wheels, Harley-Davidson Chrome Wheels, Chrome Plated Auto Parts, Candy-Colored Chrome, Powder Coating

Telephone: (361) 854-7040

The wheels look great but they will not rush to get a job done for anything. I even called the gy and asked to bump them up in line and i would send him a little cheese on the side and he told me to go fuck myself. He said he didnt care if i was 'Orange County Choppers" because they dont rush any job whatsoever. I guess thats a good thing if you have time to wait for your wheels. In my case i didnt and had to buy a new custom set from Renegade in order to have my bike done in time for Myrtle Beach.. Anyway i hope that helps.

Also when you contact them make sure you tell them the size of the rear wheel. The prices they have on the internet do not reflect the size whhels we roll. And they don't reflect disassembly and chroming the hubs and repacking the bearings and hubs. Also that 4 week time frame is a crock of shit so if you are wanting to do it as a winter project i would suggest getting on it if you want your wheels back for spring.
