Where does one usually go to get their wheels balanced? (besides using the "beads" as an option)

Have a K9 - 300 tire/rim which I have taken apart, and noticed some of my weights have fallen off. Since its off the bike I thought it might be a good idea to have it re-balanced.

QUESTIONS - Should any Harley shop be able to do this or any basic tire outlet? Should one carry the axel when taking it over to the shop? Guess one leaves the pulley and rotor on when performing the balancing?

Sorry, first timer when it comes to wheel balancing a 300 tire, just curious as a result of the size. Any and all help truly appreciated.

Seriously, not just that I sell the beads, but you can ask anyone on this site, they are the way to go. Any dealer that spin balances your tire will and can only get it within 1/4 oz. The machine can't do better than that, and over time the tire will start to cup and wear out.

With the Dyna Beads, it will always be balanced perfect and WILL NEVER start to cup.

Seens how your at this point, you might as well do it right the first time!!:D

SOLD!!!! :up: :up: :up: but if you don't mind...i'd like to do both first balance and then add the beads.

If you do get it balanced you need to find a shop equipped to handle the bigger (300) tires. We had to upgraded our balancer to accommodate the larger tires.

I just ordered the Dyna Bead kit and the HID conversion kit and... damn, I always get carried-away when I find a site with stuff for our dogs...

I could not wait to pull the weights off !!!! Trust what Jake said..the beads work great and no ugly weights on your wheels :2thumbs:

To not use the beads is just plain stupid.

I am pissed that I can't use them in my chevy....

Gas... Your wife might do it for you, just pull a wheel one by one and bring it into the living room and she have them done in no time!!!:roll: :roll: :roll:

The beads are your best option. First off most wheels are pretty close to balanced. The problem comes with the tires. You could balance a wheel and then mount the tire and you will have to balance everything again. Just balancing a wheel is a waste of time. With a tire you have radial runout, lateral and conicity which can only be corrected with balancing. Every tire is different to a point and needs to be rebalanced as it wears. Car, truck, and motorcyle tires are under the same principle Hope this helps.

Yes, and the Dyna Beads are always balanced and never need a correction balance.
