Let us know how it performs after the cam change...There's a few guys that have gone with the .600 cam and had good things to say...

I live in Ohio and the riding weather is over unless an Indian summer day hits. I was blessed this year and had some extra dough to spoil the Big Dog with. I have a thread under performance that lists my winter build. I have a Woods .650 cam and springs, Mikuni 48mm race carb with Doherty adapter, Thunderheart ignition, Whimmer intake, RB Racing exhaust, ported and polished heads with zero deck, Holly NOS kit with 50hp jetting, purge kit and Cometic progressive NOS controller and Cometic gaskets. I am looking for a set of 5 spoke wheels as well. After it gets tuned on a dino I will tuck it away and dream of spring.

Is there a thread on how to rebuild the bottom end in the event of catastrophe?

I will keep you informed Erldawg
S&S said it would probably be in the 10 hp increase which is big in my book for a cam change
Hate to rip it down to cut jugs
thats next year

I went with the .600 cam this summer. Easy installation and already had the red striped springs rated for the cam. I think I'll go back and swap out the springs for some that are rated for a .650. Not sure, but I think the valves are floating at high rpms. Could just be the rev limiter. The cam gives it a better loping sound and great performance. Didn't need to change the jets (33/78) after installation.:cheers:
The cam is around $75 to $100 on ebay.

Full re-paint by Ed! :whoop:
Refreshing my frame, wet sanding, high speed polish, fill in of any nicks and scrapes.!
Re-chrome of as much as I can afford to do:whoop:
Replacing wheel and neck bearings.
Full engine polish and sealing.
Polish wheels and seal.
Getting shit from the wife for spending too much time in the garage.
Taking Gas Mans idea on sealing all my connections.

New front end for me, hard to pass up those Ultima front ends at their current price. I am installing the 58mm inverted on my 05 Ridgeback. Everything looks good so far, simply had to order a new bracket from 360 brake, but it should be done this week.

New Wire-plus for me, new neck bearings, regular maintenance, and maybe if I can scrape the cheese up, XXX carb and dual coil set up. :)

BigDogBro1

Made in the USA
New Avon rear tire and wheel bearings.

Moving from Michigan to Scottsdale Arizona so I could ride instead of looking at it in the garage over the winter.
