Whats Your Winter Plans

Energy One
Decided to pull the plug today and get a head start on some maintenance issues. Won't be sticking any money in it this year. Daughter in college puts a damper on my funds.

Put the bike in heated storage the other day. No money this year for projects. If I get a job soon I'll get it out for some upgrades.

sending the heads out this winter for springs, valves and guides.

i can see through the exhaust port some oil seeping past the guide and the springs are screaming for mercy.

plus the tappets are overdue for a new set.

Alhall -- always good to see your bike -- love that powdercoat!

yanking the tranny this Winter and changing the seals and anything else that needs it. First time for me, so if I get in too deep then the Baker Boys will get it for a rebuild.

MARV has me thinking about the tappets -- gonna roll over 25,000 in the next week or two....

If I could get someone to clean up my shop I would make a new sissy bar, maybe a few to sell and a new gas cap.:job:

Have a 95' Sporty that's been sitting under cover in the garage for about two years that was given to us a wedding gift from my wifes father.

Supposed to sell it to help pay for some of the wedding but in todays market, I would be giving it away just to get it sold.

Thinking hardtail frame, sprung seat, some powder coating and apes. At least keep it around as a barhopper until I get a reasonable offer on it.

Well, thanks to a little teen aged witch with road rage, mine is getting a new makeover. New forks, custom handlebars, new tires and having a different paint scheme......rattlesnake!!!!!!!! Big snake eyes on the tank, forked tongue going down the front fender and the body winding back and forth down the rear fender and a snake skin seat (replica of course). Little bitch damn near killed me, but once I'm back in the saddle, I'll be over it.:cheers:

Looking like work is going to have me tied up; I'm hoping to get some needed maintenance done on the K9, front bearings, neck bearings pack/adj type thing. Thinking about seeing what it would take to mount up that VH2/1 pipe I got on the wife's Coyote - stock pipe has to go and money is tight, figured couldn't hurt to check what I got laying around.

Damn the winter!!!!!!!!

After going through the storage ritual. Sta-bil, lube all mechanical parts, fresh wax on the paint and polish chrome/alum. New brake pads and rear tire. New led's for the front turn signals. Probably just stare it on random days and sob like a little school girl! :(

Damn Al, I was going to start this thread but you beat me to it.

My only plans for the winter is re-seal all my wiring and maybe if I can afford it go with that dual coil setup.

After getting it ready changed all fluids, sta-bil etc weather turned and just had to ride it! I was thinking of a .600 cam, new roller rockers, new valve springs etc...no dough, no go.... No upgrades this winter...:(
