For me, I love the Black Hills. Running my dog down 385 south out of Lead SD. Then turning on 16A Needles HWY, hit Custer Hwy turn left go 10 miles and turn left on Iron Mountain Hwy back to 385. This has got to be one of the greatest rides ever. The switch backs & the view on Needles Hwy are breath taking. The view on Iron Mountain Hwy is something you will never forget. And the growl of the S&S motor pulling the 10% grades on 385 south. The veiw of the lake while going over the spillway doesn't suck either. We always stop there and get some pictures with the lake in the back ground. Leaving spearfish Canyon where we always rent a house, driving the canyon ( ALWAYS a treat, it's so majestic), then over to Deadwood (beer stop) then off through Lead and then down 385 S to do this ride. Round trip 228 miles ride. And damn well worth the time!

Couple of more pics. Bridel vail water fall located on Spearfish Canyon rd is so cool. Deadwood is such a neat town Go to the Buffallo Casino and listen to Yancy play his 12 string as he gets loaded on tequilla and starts popping off to passer byers on the sidewalk, Funny shit. Guy can play his ass off!

Being from the South I like just about anywhere in Northern Arkansas. I believe Arkansas is a very state as far as scenery.

All over Colorado. From the eastern plains, foothills along the front range, high mountains, and the western slope. Can't be beat in my opinion....of course I am a Colorado native, so my view is partial.

Thanks for sharing those great pics. And a beautiful woman to go with them :)

Being from St. Louis, get a lot of rides in through the Ozark Mountains and along the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Not Colorado or the Dakotas, but not bad this close to home on a weekly basis.

Seeing that last shot of that small town makes me want to move there. Awesome.

That part of the country is hard to beat regardless of the ride. Colorado, Utah, even Northern New Mexico is breath taking.

East Tennessee with out question. The dragon is there, gatlinburg, pigeon forge, blue ridge parkway. There is everything you could ever want in the area but the ocean of course.

Spearfish Canyon was probably my favorite in SD. Holiday Inn in Spearfish has a great pub with really good pub food. It's called "Lucky 13". Really good Ruben sandwich there. Plus that's where the Hampsters stay so you can kind of walk around the lot and do your own little bike show afterwards.

I am looking for suggestions for a ride out of Dallas about 3rd week in October.

Weather starts getting cooler in the North so Colorado is out. I am thinking New Mexico into Arizona and around the Canyon.

On the other hand I'm thinking Ark into Tennessee...

I am looking for around 2k miles round trip roughly take 6 or 7 days
