Whats the Difference??

Ive seen quite a few 2004 BD Choppers. It seems to me that some of them look like they have a longer front end...some look like the frame is longer than others. Is there a difference or am I just seeing things?

Are you sure you're not seeing a Ridgeback or K9? Don't think the K9 was made as far back as '04 but I could be wrong. Anyway the K9 and Ridgeback are longer than the Chopper. The K9 is like the bigger brother of the Chopper.

No when I see the pictures on Ebay or Google of a Big Dog they just say Chopper. Yet some look different. I wasn't sure if BD made different models of chopper. I know they changed frames some where in 04 or 05. But to me they have a different look. Maybe I should wear my glasses next time.

03/04 Choppers were mostly identical, with some small differences like controls, etc. 05 Chopper had a slightly different look with a redesigned fender, struts, bars, and went to right side drive. In 06 they made the K9 which was a few inches longer with more rake, and a redesigned gas tank. On ebay dealers will often list them all as choppers, since they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.

dont forget that the chopper had 3 different frames. daytec, rolling thunder, and BDM. you maybe seeing slight differences there. but they are still basically the same geometry.
