Couldn't have done better myself! Hit it right smack on the head! Seatmaker needs to start making seat pans and doing custom seats premade for sale. That way BDM will sell more 08's if people know that they can readily replace that hideous loveseat right after they buy it.

What about the fuel injection? I read BDM had problems initially. HDs all have fuel injection now so they likely have it down. Any hope that the 08s will not have the problems? I really don't mind carbs but it the EFI get it to run better that Im for it.

The 05's had a slightly detuned motor...like smaller valve springs, E carb (like GasMan said) if your a motor head and want lots of power you might have to do a few upgrades with vavle springs, carb and cam on a 05...
EFI is still new to BD and it seems like it works okay from the ones I've seen but I can tune a carb myself alot easier than trying to work on EFI and most dealerships unless they're HD or Jap bike dealers don't have a clue about EFI.

You'll find the best people and get great ideas on here...:D

Quit dogging my 05

Just funning but everyone talks about not getting an 05 due to the E carb and smaller valves. But if you do your homework you will find that these smaller units provide more velosity which is better for everyday driving. On the other hand the bigger G carb and regular size heads of other models are better at high RPM.
Triple X has a great article of this on their website.

To prove it I will post two dyno sheets.

The first is mine when I had my bike dyno'd in Las Vegas a couple years ago. This was when I found out the cone shaped air cleaner was to restrictive and had to go.
I got 92hp & 108 ft lbs of torque.

The second one is members Vegas dyno sheet from his 06 Mastiff with a .600 cam also done in Vegas.
He got 97 hp & 112 ft lbs of torque.

Not much difference with a .600 cam. But depends on what rpm range you ride at I guess.
Maybe we should start a dyno sticky thread for everyones review!
