What weight primary oil?

What do you use and what primary oil weight do you use?

I have AMS Oil 75/110 ... do you think it's too thick? :up:

to thick, some run 20-50 engine oil, sone run HD primarry oil, do a search, under servicing your bike

Most run H-D Formual+ or Rev-Tech Primary Fluid, some even run Dexron III ATF, the Amsoil 75/110 Severe Gear is for transmissions & rear end duty....

if it is too thick and too slick, the clutch discs will tend to not separate when you disengage the clutch.

I was checking out Jake's Bandit Replacement thread and in there he says that Bandit recommends using AMS Oil Severe Gear SAE 75/90w .... I have 75/110w ... That's the $64,000 question ... what do you use? Just to get a feeling for it. I've read some use 75/140w and works well ... guess its where your at ... we have 110+ degree weather here in Arizona ... even up here in Cottonwood ... :up:

HD primary oil is all have ever used.

I've always used HD primary fluid. This last change I used RevTech primary fluid. Same shit different bottle if you ask me.

When it cools down ... (below 100 degrees) I'll change it to 20/50 :up:
