So seeing how we're flashing back in time, I started out young with a chopper mini bike back in 1975

I graduated to this 1978 Honda XL 75 in which I stripped and made it into a trail bike

I then went into the motorcross phase in 1980 This was my 1978 YZ125 F model

I then went back to the streets with a Kawasaki KE 175 like this:

I took a break from riding and hopped back on in 2005 and the wifey bought this as a retirement present (2007 Nightster):

Traded the Nightster in on the 2008 Mastiff and the rest is history... :D

I'm not as lucky as most of you, no matter how much I tried, I could never get a mini bike, let alone something bigger.

First bike was an '88 Kawa EX500, around 1990... topped out at 120. If was a fun bike and great to get around on.

I started with a RUPP mini-bike when I turned 12, got my first real motorcycle at 15 with a very used Honda 90. Pics might exist in my mother's archive of photos, but I don't have them at my home. Been riding now for 48 years and still enjoy it like I was a kid!

My first bike was chopper mini bike. Got it when I was around 7yrs old. Man I wish I had a picture of it. Kept graduating to bigger bikes as I grew up.

Looks like those Honda's were pretty popular. Mine was a 1971 Honda CB350, I paid about a Dollar per cc. Bike ran like a champ.

I got my first motorcycle when I was 12. It was a Suzuki TS 125. It was a 2-stroke trail bike with lights and blinkers. I promptly broke one of the blinkers and then took the others off so it didn't look more stupid than it did already.
My dad's first response was "who the hell said you could have a motorcycle?" "You did" I replied, "don't you remember when I was 9, and I asked if I could have one.... and you told me I could have whichever one I could afford?, well, I been saving my money." He was pissed, but he never said anything about who told me I could have a motorcycle again.

This pic isn't of mine (I doubt mine EVER looked this good) it's just one I found on the net.
