I will ask this, does T-max have a known good map for your setup....if no, are you willing to dyno tune to get a good base timing and fuel map?

Doesn't the s&s efi motor come with a 3 year warranty with a certain ignition? Might be worth contacting them since they stated they will cover warranties on their product sold through bd

The S&S engine I bought came with a one year warranty if efi, but a two year with IST ignition and a carb.

Trust me, you will want an exact map. The this one is close enough is a pain in the ass....or wallet.

When I bought my 124, s&s said they had a map for my t-max.....long story short, they didn't.

I am about to pull the efi off and go IST and carb. Tired of futzing with it. :bang:

S&S also said that the throttle body from my 117 build would work on my 124 build....they misspoke on that one, too.

In their defence it did bolt up....just with a 1/8" intake leak at the gaskets.

Here is the deal. All of the auto tune systems tune the fuel pretty well, but the timing is not auto tune. So you will have to either tune by ear while on the road, or find a dyno with a 5 gas analyzer to dial in the timing. Don't get me wrong the close map will get you going, but it will rear it's ugly head every now and then and it will drive you nuts.

Get the system that has the map specific for your engine......t-max may have one......don't know, you will need to call them.

Your money, spend it wisely.

Pulled the trigger and did the S&S VFI unit with their Dual Induction System. Bike should be ready to roll this weekend. I think I'm done adding stuff!

Will post pics when she's done!
