I fire up my 05 Chopper DT.
For a half second the RPM gauge alternates between 500 and 1000 RPMs.
Immediately thereafter the gauge starts blinking full range (green through red), all on then all off, similar to if you stall the bike.
After a couple minutes the gauge settles onto 1000 RPMs.
All good thereafter.
I'm thinking I have my idle set to low but I hesitate to change it without gathering feedback first since it does run smoothly once it does settle down to 1000 RPMs.
Any thoughts?
