what Oil filter could I use???

Hey guys, I'm ready for the o'l oil change and the big dog dealer closed down but there is a Harley dealer close by. by chance does anyone know what oil filter I can use from Harley(chrome) part #? that would work on my 2005 Ridge Back? I want to make sure I get the correct one. Thanks.

Amsoil puts out a great filter. It's fully synthetic and filters down to 15 microns. Been using this filter for 3 years and oil stays noticably cleaner. The part number is EAOM 135C (K170C) and you can check it out at AMSOIL Online Store - Synthetic Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters Gear Oil A lot of guys here use Amsoil with great results. :up:

As Lee stated, most of us no longer use the traditional throw away filter.

If you go on the Amsoil site and cross reference the Harley 63796-77A filter that S&S recommends they say the WIX 51225 The EAOM 135 is too restrictive for the S&S.

NAPA's filter is made by WIX, and their new part# is PS1225 sells at my local NAPA for $10.49 (this is the WIX 51225 CHROME)

Bad ass looking and they are reusable, also the stainless steel screen moves oil faster and catches more particles than paper filters.... Hell just read about them here and then buy one from Don. :2thumbs:
