I have a stock 03 Chop. Recently changed the S&S air filter to a K&N and had some decel popping, and loss of throttle response. Bike had stock jets 29.5 and 70 and ran great with S&S filter, plugs were a tad light, but bike ran great.
So I bumped them both up to 31 and 72. Immediately the decel popping was gone and throttle response was back. However, seat of my pants, I don't think there is any difference with the K&N....in fact I think it ran a tad harder/faster with the other filter and jets. Perhaps I just need to get the carb just right. Bike does run really good right now, just not sure if it's any better than before?
I'll probably just leave it as is...and send the carb to XXX soon!
