What is your big Dog worth

I'd like to think I got my 06 pitbull last October as close to new as possible only 1500 miles for $8500 shouldn't lose much if anything on it but then again I don't see myself selling in the foreseeable future :whoop:
Sold my 05 mastiff with 1500 worth of upgrades (medallion ) for 9,000 last month. 6000 miles on it well taken care of. he got a good deal in my book

I don't think it matters really what it's worth to someone... because it's worth it to me to keep it. Of all the vehicles I've ever owned, the only one I regretted getting rid of was my '03 BD ProSport. I won't get rid of this one and make the same mistake.

(even if it is being a finiky bitch right meow)

does Baker still sell the transmissions for the big dogs? just curious
They are listed on Curtis website I think you can still order one. Yes.

I saw one on fleabay awhile back I wish I had the change to have bought it. One cannot have too many spare parts is my motto.

Sold my 2003 Chopper - black. 6500 miles. Almost mint condition. Sissy bar, tach, extended controls, blaa blaa...... $8200

I think new owner got a steal - it was a great bike.

Sounds fun! But I better pass! The wife and I are trying to find a retirement home (smaller cause the kids are gone) so we gotta stay frugal till the transition is over! Thanks for the offer tho! Good luck selling!

Hey Bill! I wasn't very clear....ha. By retirement home I meant a downsizing of our regular house. One the wife and I can enjoy with less taxes, less lawn, and easy to lock the door and go have fun! Retirement from our jobs may be here in less than 10 years. Hopefully the nursing homes are well off in our future....ha. Thanks for the thoughts tho!

Your bike is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So, if you are selling your bike look at this link to see what it is selling on Ebay for:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=bigdog%20motorcycle&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

Some got lucky, some not so lucky.... some were removed because they didn't sell at that price... I sold my 2004 chopper with $5k in upgrades for $7k when I had $17k in it.... 6 months on Ebay and 6 months on CL brought only $7k..... It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.... A hard pill to swallow but the the reality sets in...

When you think of what you can get for your bike and what you can buy with the money you can get for it, it might be worth keeping the dog...
:oldwtf:
I think Im on look out for used bd

IMO (and I don't know shit) your paint / color and then the mechanical condition of course, has the biggest impact on the "value" of our bikes. The year obviously is a factor, but it is tiered like anything else. I see the 2008 / 09 bikes for sale in the mid and high teen and just have to say good luck! My 04 is probably worth 7k on its best day. 08/09....probably 12K topping at 14K....but again, it is the eye of the beholder....

Like buying a house. If someone in the neighborhood sells far below value everyone's house goes down in price... The same with bikes. It just take a few people who really need money to sell cheap and then all bikes go down... My friend has a Harley 2011 trike she paid $38k for. It has 8k miles on it and looks like new. The best offer she has had on it is $14k...... Blue book is $25k... It really hurts when you lose $10k on a bike like me that you just bought a year ago but if you need it gone it's the only way... The other way of looking at it is each year it goes down 10% from the list price. Another 20% on the parts you put on it so after a few years it all adds up. you can't just say I have $20k into it. You have to deduct the deprecation first... You owned it, enjoyed it now pay for it...
